The tour of the gardens, falls, and sugar cane grinding was breathtaking. We were greeted with delicious coffee and empanadas, and the hike was fun with a knowledgeable guide. Swimming in the pools under the falls was a highlight. the lunch provided was generous and delicious.
Limited resources, including food, and no air conditioning in the cabin. the distance to the complex was 13.1 kilometers on rough terrain.

We had an amazing time at Santa Juana! The view from our room was breathtaking, with tucans and other birds flying around. It was so quiet and peaceful, just what we needed after our adventurous travels. We loved sitting on the decked area, reading in the hammock while soaking in the incredible surroundings. The staff were fantastic, and the food was delicious. We highly recommend this place. The only downside was that we wished we had more time to stay longer.

The view from our room was absolutely stunning with well-planned layout allowing for a great view from various areas including the bed, seating area indoors and outdoors. The open-air screens kept the room fresh and allowed us to enjoy the surrounding nature. The well-maintained grounds added to the overall appeal of the hotel.
The food lacked creativity and variety, with the same dishes being served every day except for one exception. It left us wondering if the hotel aggressively sprayed to keep critters away.

We had an amazing time at this tranquil, scenic collection of cabins nestled high in the mountains. the breathtaking 360-degree views of the untouched mountain range left us speechless. the staff at Santa Juana Lodge & Nature Reserve were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home even with our minimal Spanish knowledge. the food at the restaurant was absolutely fabulous, the best we've had during our two weeks of traveling in Costa Rica. We were mesmerized by the local hiking trails and stunning waterfalls in the area. Cons: Hard to think of anything! 😊.

During my stay at Santa Juana Lodge & Nature Reserve, I was captivated by the stunning views of the mountains and lush forests. The private casitas provided a cozy and comfortable retreat, and I loved waking up to the sights and sounds of toucans right outside my deck. The highlight of my trip was a visit to the secluded waterfall, a hidden gem that offered a tranquil and refreshing swimming experience. And despite the remote location, the staff, particularly Alan and Sharon, were incredibly friendly and provided exceptional customer service. The food prepared by Allan's mum and another villager was delicious, although I wished for a bit more variety during my longer stay. I highly recommend this place for a true Costa Rican experience.
